A C T . III
Peter crashes a garden society luncheon, presenting the society with a check for $50,000. He then joins his mother and sister at a table, where Laurie surmises he's up to something. Gwen sees right through her son: he wants her help with Chandler. Gwen walks away without giving Peter an answer.

Richard and Heather are preparing to scuba dive. They're told they must sign a release form, and one of the stipulations is that you can't dive while pregnant. Heather tells Richard she's ill, and sends him off without her.

Gwen and Samantha are given massages, and discuss Heather. Samantha decides to talk with Chandler, believing she can convince him to side with his family.

Jack and Gwen dine, reminiscing about their past. Gwen doesn't think Jack should leave tomorrow. Peter interrupts their dinner, wishing to know if she's had any luck with Chandler. Gwen hints that she has something planned. Jack exits, and Peter takes his uncle's place at the table.

Scott leaves Chandler, who works at the hangar. Samantha enters, and quickly brings up Heather in the conversation. Chandler's adamant that they must side with his father, or else risk alienating Heather. Samantha and Chandler reminisce about their childhood.

A C T . IV
David and Laurie meet up at the beach again. She thanks him for taking Jenny under his wing, but also insists that her family means everything to her, something David doesn't disagree with.

Peter prepares to sign the papers. Chandler arrives, and watches as his brother signs the papers.

Samantha apologizes to Gwen for being unable to convince Chandler to come to his senses. Peter then gets angry with his mother for failing to live up to her implied promise, and Gwen chastises her son for losing without a sense of dignity.

Gwen tells Jack goodbye before he steps aboard the plane. She wants to know why he's always leaving: is he running from her? He doesn't give a solid answer, but instead kisses her on the cheek and gets on the plane. They watch each other as he makes his exit.

Chandler's joined in his bedroom by Samantha, who tries to confess to what she's done--but Chandler already knew what she was there for. Drawing closer to each other, the two end up kissing. They're interrupted by the phone, and Samantha runs out after Chandler says they can't do this. He answers the phone, and it's Heather calling. She says she's had morning sickness, and has been thinking about him lately. Has he been thinking about her? He hangs up on her. Heather lies to Richard about the call, then tells him she wants to return home soon.

Richard decides they will return home tomorrow morning.
Next week: Guess Who's Chumming for Dinner?
Under the guise of welcoming Gwen's 14-year-old nephew, Ethan, to the family, Heather organizes a dinner party. Sparks fly when Peter confronts Heather about her real motivation for throwing the soiree, to raise money for her new company. When the dinner party starts going south for Jenny she reaches for a bottle, but her date, David, a recovering alcoholic and the new club manager at 'Pulse,' keeps her from falling off the wagon...
