Virginia wondered around town thinking about Wolf. She loved Wolf with all her heart and she
knew that Wolf loved her too. Wolves do mate for life, she must remember that. But why is he acting like she wasn't
even alive? He's practically pouring his heart out to Melody and being so loving and caring over that gypsy girl.
It's almost unnatural. There is baby Peter to think about, Virginia tells herself. He needs his father and I to
stay together. I don't want him to have a childhood like I did to have a missing parent in his life. I just won't
have it! Virginia argued with herself silently. She had to confront Wolf somehow and get to the root of his true
feelings.

Upstairs in the Inn Melody was fumbling around in her knapsack until she found her little spell
book. All her ideas and her spells haven't worked and she was getting frantic. She took off her fake glasses and
rubbed her eyes. Her determination to destroy the woman who killed her mother was tiring her. She flipped through
the pages of her little spell book and noticed the previous spell she had used on Wolf with the tea.
"Oh cripes!" She exclaimed. With her fake eyeglasses off, she could make out the spell
clearer. It seemed she had forgotten a few ingredients and the spell had taken a complete and total opposite affect.
"No wonder it didn't work. But now Wolf is going to fall in love with ME!" Melody slammed her book shut
and hid it back in her knapsack. "Now what am I going to do? Nothing is coming out right for me!" She
flung herself onto her bed and put the pillow over her head. But she suddenly raised her head up and thought quickly.
"Perhaps I can work this to my advantage. If I can make Virginia extremely jealous, she
will leave Wolf and I will have my chance to make her suffer. Damn that woman!" Melody pounded into her pillow.

Princess Wendy and Tony finally made it back to the small village where their guards had been
staying at. Udo the giant left them again and went to find if he could find any more talking birds to help. Tony
figured Udo will probably forget about them again and just let him go off.
Princess Wendy immediately got a hold of some chalk slates. She handed one to Tony and her guards
quickly handed her a blanket and hot tea.
ALL WE CAN DO NOW IS WAIT, ANTONY. Wendy wrote on her slate and added a Sad Face after her sentence.
I KNOW. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE WE CAN DO THOUGH. Tony wrote back. He noticed there was a large
chalk board posted on a tree in the center of the village. Miscellaneous news were written on the board for all
the villagers to read. He quickly went over and wrote on the board that help was coming soon. They just had to
wait. Some villagers walked by and read the board. They cheered silently but eventually walked off. There was nothing
they could do.
I NEED TO SLEEP, ANTONY. The princess wrote.
GO HEAD, I WILL WAKE YOU WHEN THERE IS NEWS. Tony was also pretty sleepy from sitting up in the
tree all night. Every muscle in his body was aching. Princess Wendy was led into a small cottage by her guards.
She was tucked snuggly into a soft warm bed. She didn't know how she was going to fall asleep. She was so worried
about being trapped in the 6th Kingdom forever without any sound. But her exhaustion soon took over and she drifted
off into a soundless sleep.

Virginia, Wolf, Patrick and Melody headed off towards the 2nd Kingdom. Wolf announced to everyone
that they will be entering the Red Riding Hood forest soon and he can show them all his old haunts and where he
use to play when he was a pup. Melody was lost in thought and Patrick just stared at Melody the whole time. Wolf
was scouting up ahead to see if he could regain his sense of smell. His sneezing fits had stopped and his sense
of smell was gradually returning. A wolf without his sense of smell is not a wolf at all, he thought to himself.
He turned back to the group and saw Melody. He also saw Virginia and his entire being split into
two again. Ooooh, Wolf whimpered to himself, what is wrong with me!? I love Virginia! We have a cub waiting for
us. But oh, Melody is so sweet and succulent. So soft and so tantalizing. Wolf closed his eyes tight to shut out
the images of both Melody and Virginia. He thumped his head a few times to rid himself of those unnatural thoughts
of Melody and tread on forward into the woods. Wolves are suppose to mate for life!
They soon made camp at the edge of the Red Riding Hood forest. Wolves howled in the distance
and Wolf gave his answering howls in return. His excitement began to grow as they got closer and closer to his
childhood home. He dashed in and out of the trees teasing Melody and jumping out to scare her. Melody squealed
with delight. She peered over at Virginia and caught Virginia looking over at them from her seat on a fallen log.
Melody took that chance and quickly gave Wolf a big hug and kiss right on the mouth. This will show her! Melody
thought to herself.
Virginia had just turned her head at Melody's giggling and she caught the kiss between the two.
Her heart started to crumble and she quickly turned her head away wiping away lone tears that trickled down her
cheeks. She told Patrick that she needed some personal privacy and walked off into the woods.
When Wolf felt Melody's soft warm lips pressed on his own, every muscle immediately froze in
his body. He got the strangest sensation running up his spine and he shuttered from the eerie feeling. It didn't
feel right. He gently shoved Melody away from him and backed up a few steps. Melody gave Wolf a sly look and walked
away to the clearing where Patrick sat by a small fire. She smiled to herself when she notice Virginia wasn't around.

Virginia wondered around the woods near the camp area and tried not to think about the kiss that
she had just witnessed between Wolf and Melody. For of course, she didn't see Wolf push Melody away. She sat down
by a large tree and reached into her knapsack. She pulled out a little red box wrapped up in cloth. She unwrapped
the box and opened the lid and revealed her beloved little gold ring nestled amid the folds of soft cotton in the
box. The little pearl flipped forward and smiled up at Virginia, but when he saw how sad Virginia was, he began
to frown.
