'Michael and Michael Have Issues' on Comedy Central

michael & michaelComedy Central has been back in the original programming game lately with shows like "Important Things with Demetri Martin" and the upcoming "Krod Mandoon" starring Matt Lucas of "Little Britain".  Next up..."Michael and Michael Have Issues" starring Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter.

The new series is a twist on narrative and sketch comedy featuring the two long time comedic partners as hosts of a fictitious sketch show.  Basically...there will be a narrative threading all the sketches together while the two stars wrestle with issues of their own insecurity and jealous attempts to undermine each other.

"Michael and I are thrilled to be on COMEDY CENTRAL doing we what we do best making doo-doo jokes," said Showalter. "I wanted to call the show Michael Showalter Sucks Starring Michael Ian Black,'" said Black.

Michael Showalter was a founding member of "The State" (remember that hilarious show on MTV years ago?) and is a member of Stella.  Michael Ian Black also started out with "The State" and co-created "Viva Variety".
