Weinstein Fights Back Against Bravo over Project Runway

Turns out Bravo's not the only one a little peeved about this whole Project Runway debacle.  Of course, I'm not surprised Weinstein Co. decided to fight back in the lawsuit against them.

Incase you missed it, Bravo/NBC is suing the Weinstein's for taking the show to Lifetime without giving them their right of first refusal.

So now producer The Weinstein Co. has filed papers claiming Bravo purposefully refused to do the necessary P.R. for season 5 in retaliation against the big move and in an attempt to sabotage the show.  They also allege that the creation of the copycat shows were born before any of this even started when Bravo first caught wind that there might be a move.

In its counterclaim, TWC points to programs such as "Top Chef," "Top Design," "Shear Genius," "Make Me a Supermodel" and "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" as proof of Bravo copying the "Runway" format.
NBC Universal, said in a statement: "Not only do we categorically disagree with the Weinstein's Co.'s assertions, but the fact is that Season 5 was the most-watched and highest-rated 'Project Runway' cycle ever."

I just hope they finish all this nonsense fast.  I want to watch my Project Runway and frankly, I don't care what it's called.  Just air it!
