What's Brewin' in TV News: 'Rita Rocks' Gets a Pick Up, 'Knight Rider' Does a Do-Over and More

  • Lifetime just grabbed the new sticome "Rita Rocks" a full season.  They ordered 7 more episodes, making that a full 20 for the freshman show.  Incase you haven't seen it yet, it's about a wife/mother who forms a rock band.  Check it out on Tuesdays at 8:30. source
  • Looks like YouTube is getting it's hands on some more classics. They just paired up with MGM in a deal that will let them air some old shows like "American Gladiators" (the original one).  They'll also offer some MGM owned films like "Bulletproof Monk".  Back in October, YouTube made a similar deal with CBS.  source
  • "Knight Rider"  already got it's full season, but it looks like they're going to retool it anyway and get a little closer to it's 1980s roots.  Part of the change?  Swapping out Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Yancey Arias and Bruce Davidson who were apparently not asked back for a hopeful season 2.  source
  • FOX has decided to put a hold on "The Cleveland Show" and push it back to Fall '09 instead of the orginal idea of airing next spring. However, it's not because they don't like it. On the contrary, they've already ordered a full season of the new spinoff animated series. source
  • "Reno 911!" will be back for season 6!  Comedy Central has officially ordered a 10 episode season to premiere on March 12, 2009!  source
