What's Brewin in TV - "Pushing Daisies" On the Way Out? NBC Nabs New Dance Comp and More!

  • NBC has a new dance competition in the works from the producers of "American Idol" and "So You Think You Can Dance".  The new series will have professional dancers from 8 countries and showing off their different dance styles.  Who's the host?  Why it's Michael Flatley of "Lord of the Dance" of course!  Nigel Lythgoe is calling it the "Olympic Games of dance".  This one oughta be interesting. source
  • HIlary Duff is coming back to TV soon with NBC, they just don't know what for yet.  The network says they'll come up with something just for her to star in.  She'll also apparently be making a ton of cameos on other NBC shows.  Lemme guess, the cameo crazy "30 Rock" perhaps?  source
  • There's some hub-bub about the fact that "Pushing Daisies" has finished production for it's currently season but ABC still hasn't asked it back for next year.   People are speculating that this is a clear sign of a cancellation. However, don't worry too much yet since apparently an ABC exec says they are still fighting to keep the show on the air. source
