What's Brewin in TV - Fallon Picks His Late Night Band and More Funny Business

  • Jimmy Fallon is the heir to Conan O'brien's late-night slot sometime in 2009 and everyone knows you can't have a late nite talk show without a band.  Leave it to Fallon to go the extra mile and snag awesome Philadelphia hip-hop group The Roots.  This oughta be interesting... source
  • One of my favorite comedy geniuses, Seth Rogen ("Superbad" and "Knocked Up"), is bringing a new series to the small screen.  I bet you can guess what it's about.  Yep!  20-somethings who run a porno shop.  So far it's untitled and still in development but we do know it'll be on Showtime. source
  • Remember back when "The Office" was going to do a spin-off and Amy Poehler was going to star, yada yada? Well that's not happening any more but no worries.  Producers of "The Office" are still getting together with Poehler for a new series and all those rumored to be in the now dead spin-off are gonna stick around too.  Including Rashida Jones (you may remember her for dating Jim before he was dating Pam) and Aziz Ansari ("Human Giant").  source
