- ABC greenlit finally greenlit an old project called "The Middle" with Patricia Heaton to play the lead. The show will follow the lives of a middle-class midwestern family as seen through the eyes of the mom (Heaton). Originally, when the show was first in development back in '06, Ricki Lake was set to play the role. source
- FX has a new series in the works called "AR2" from the creator of "Prison Break" (Paul Scheuring) and director of "The West Wing" (Thomas Schlamme). Scheuring says the project is "'Les Miserable' in modern America." The series will be set in Michigan and focus on the struggle between corporate America (specifically the auto industry) and the common man (you might call him Joe-SixPack). source
