Spinoffs anyone? How about The Closer? Or the L Word?

Wishing for more shows like The Closer or bummed out that The L Word is bringing us it's series finale this season? No worries, TV.com reports that both shows are planning spinoffs!

TNT has stated that they are shopping out for a Closer spinoff (currently being called The Fixer) script but they won't tell us much more than that.  It's still not known whether or not the show will be following an already existing character or a whole new set.

Do I smell a new Law & Order series?

The L Word is giving us it's 6th and final season this alice.pngcoming January and for anyone who's watched the show, well, that's a bummer.  Great cast, great plots, great everything. But have no fear, a spinoff is definitely in the works, slated to start production in December and following one of our favorite L girls, Alice (played by Leisha Hailey).  As much as I'd love to keep watching Shane, my personal favorite character on the show,  I think Alice is a perfect choice and I look forward to seeing more on her story line.

Looks like we have another year of the spinoffs: NBC with The Office, Fox with House and Family Guy and The CW with Gossip Girl.   Let's hope it's not too much of a good thing.

There's going to be a House spinoff? I either didn't know or blocked this from my mind.Do we know what they have in mind? I love House, am not a big fan of spinoffs in general. I hope it's not something that will dilute the original.

I am also a fan of The Closer and am having a hard time imagining what The Fixer might be about. All I can think of is Harvey Keitel in Pulp Fiction.
