SoapNet Brings in 3 New Series

SoapNet announced on Monday that they've got three new series in the works: one reality, one scripted drama and one "docusoap".

The reality show, "Greg Behrendt's Wake-Up Call", has Behrendt as the host.  You may remember him for his consultation work on "Sex and the City" and co-authoring the book "He's Just Not That Into You".  In an episode he'll use his funny relationship advice to tackle on couple's issues.  It will air at 11pm on Thursdays starting January 8th.

The one-hour scripted drama, "Being Erica" will follow the life of 30-something Erica Strange, played by Erin Karpluk.  Erica will be an educated but "underachieving single woman who can't understand why her life is heading nowhere".  Naturally a handsome Dr. steps in to save the day.

The docusoap called "Southern Belles" will follow the "professional and romantic lives of five single Southern women in their 20s and 30s".

Looks like our tivos are going to have a hard time keeping up with all these networks adding series to their lineups.  Time to start planning accordingly!
