'Singing Bee' Returns

"Singing Bee" is making a comeback, but this time on CMT, not NBC.

CMT originally wanted the series when it was first pitched but lost the bidding war to NBC.  However,  FOX premiered a similar show "Don't Forget the Lyrics" and in the end, 'Bee' lost the in the ratings battle.

CMT will be changing up the format a little, eliminating the "Bee" dancers and this time the show will be 60% country music, 40% other.

Ten episode have been ordered and the show will premiere on June 16th after the annual CMT Awards.
