Misty May Injured - May Be Out of the Competition

Access Hollywood reports that Misty May-Treanor, volleyball champ and Olympic gold medalist, injured her ankle severely enough that the doc's still don't know if she can continue on with Dancing with the Stars.

"Misty May-Treanor sustained an injury on Friday and received immediate medical attention," show producers told Access on Saturday in a statement. "Despite previous reports, she did not break her ankle. She is resting comfortably at home. Doctors will reevaluate her condition on Monday and determine the outcome of her participation on the show."
However, apparently an insider source says no dice, she's done and needs surgery.

This makes injury number 3 for this season, following Jeffrey Ross's scratched cornea and Karina Smirnoff's twisted ankle.

Chances are that none of this news will be confirmed until tonight's live show so check it out at 8 on ABC!

Oh no! Not Misty. And that means Maks will be out, too. I'm surprised that, off all the competitors, Misty would be hurt. I hope she's feeling better ASAP.

Yeah, this is a big bummer. I wonder if this means Kim Kardasian will come back?
