Kathy Griffin In Trouble After New Years Rant

Kathy Griffin and Andersoon Cooper co-hosted a special live telecast of Times Square on New Years Eve and shortly after the ball dropped, Griffin used some choice words that got her in some hot water.

Apparently the star of "My Life on the D-List" got into it live with a heckler. 

"Shut up! Why don't you get a job, buddy?" she told the heckler. "You know what, I don't go to your job and knock the d----s out of your mouth."

CNN was quick to go to commercial and the comment was later edited out for a rebroadcast.  Griffin claims she didn't know they were live at the time and if you've watched her show at all, well I'd like to believe her.  She's crass, no doubt, but I just can't picture her jeopardizing her relationship with Cooper.

CNN probably won't get much more than a wrist slap since there are no FCC rules regarding cable cussing.
