HBO's First Promo of 'Grey Gardens' with Drew Barrymore

I was lucky enough to work the off Broadway (eventually on Broadway) show of "Grey Gardens" and at first I had mixed feelings on HBO's take with Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange.  However, after viewing this first promo, I'm a little excited now and thrilled they used heavy makeup to make the actresses resemble the women of Grey Gardens.

Also, if you haven't seen the original documentary, it's a must.  I would even suggest you do so before HBO's special comes out in April 2009.

Thanks for posting this. I had forgotten that it was being done. I was a little concerned about Drew, but it looks like she is handling it well, and is a good fit with Jessica Lange.

I agree about the documentary. Well worth a viewing. Or the play ;)
