NBC has announced that shooting of Parenthood has been postponed for eight weeks to late September "due to medical evaluation that Maura Tierney is undergoing," NBC said. "We are unable to release further details and ask that you respect her privacy at this time."  No other information about her health is available, only that she is too ill to work.

Mid-season replacement, Mercy, a medical drama starring Michelle Trachtenberg, will air beginning in September with Parenthood pushed back to January or February.
