Fox Nabs McClammy to Direct New Comedy Series

You may have seen some of Wayne McClammy's work on the small and smaller screens.  He directed the online viral hits "I'm Fucking Matt Damon" and "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck" and a couple episodes of The Sarah Silverman Program.  Now he's ready to take it to the big time by directing an entire series for Fox.

The show, Boldly Going Nowhere, will add a new twist to the workplace comedies that are such a huge success these days (i.e. The Office and 30 Rock) by putting the setting in space.  The "high-concept" show is about the day-to-day operations on a spaceship that's run by a rogue captain.

The project was created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, a bizarre and hilarious FX series.

McElhenny said of McClammy,  "He might not have a ton of experience, but he had a creative and specific vision for the look, the feel and the tone of the show and how he wants to shoot it, and he makes you laugh with what he's does."

He also told THR, ""We wanted to make sure it is relatable, it just happens to be set couple hundred years into the future."
