Fox Dets New Animation Series....Dude

Fox is adding another animated series to it's repertoire (The Simpsons, Family Guy, King of the Hill and American Dad) and this time it's by "Pineapple Express" director David Gordon Green.  The network has ordered a pilot to be considered for the spring line up.

Green will be writing and executive producing along with Tom Werner and Mike Clements of Good Humor TV and animator Brad Ableson (The Simpsons).

According to Variety, the new series is called "Good Vibes" and centers around two high school surfers in California.

Fox's pick up of the new animated series is part of their effort to add more 'cartoon' shows in preperation for "The Simpsons" eventual exit from the airwaves.  Also part of the effort, 2 new animated series slated to air this year called "Sit Down, Shut Up" and "The Cleveland Show", a "Family Guy" spinoff.
