CBS Announces 'Amazing Race' via Twitter

Phil Keoghan, host of "The Amazing Race", made internet history when he announced via Twitter that the show would be renewed for a 15th cycle, which hasn't been done before today.

Phil tweeted "Great news. Just got the call from the network.  CBS has ordered another season of 'The Amazing Race'."

CBS also chose to confirm the news via the popular micro-blogging service: "This just in: CBS has ordered another season of the Emmy-winning 'Amazing Race'.  Official announcement coming."

Casting for the 15th season is happening now and meanwhile, Keoghan is on his 40 day bike ride across America which ends here in NYC on May 9th.  This also happens to be the day before the finale of the current season of "Amazing Race."
