Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Kick off 'Dog Whisperer' Week

Tonight at 8pm eastern, the National Geographic Channel kicks off it's annual holiday "Dog Whisperer" week! Tonight's episode features pop stars Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz (Fallout Boy) as they try to rehabilitate their 3-year-old English Bulldog Hemingway.

Hemingway has seen his fair share of fame having appeared on magazine covers and music videos, but it seems he's not as trained as he appears.  With a new baby on the way (this was before the birth of their child in November), the young couple is concerned about some of Hemingway's aggressive behavior and how he'll react when all the attention is on the newborn.   So they got him a friend, a bulldog pup named Rigby (who is just about the cutest little puppy I have ever seen by the way), but that didn't help.

Also in this episode, Cesar heads to Oregon to help out a British white retriever named Cricket (who is adorable!) that has a serious aggression problem when it comes to food.  Watch as Cesar takes Cricket to meet the pack and teach the dog to settle down at dinner time.

Big 'Whisperer' fan?  Well you're in luck!  As I mentioned above, tonight kicks off a special holiday week of new episodes.  There will be repeats of old seasons and three new episodes (including this one).

This weeks special episodes:

• Monday the 29th, all new "Tobi & Riley" at 8.  Also the special encore of the episode with "Marley & Me" author John Grogan at 9pm

• Friday the 2nd, all new with "Bacchus & Joey" at 8pm eastern.
