Today Fox announced the American Idol 8 schedule and it's mostly more of the same. It will debut in January 13th and be airing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Again the show will be starting with 2 hour installments for the first week, settling into one hour episodes on the following week.
One change we might see is cutting the result shows down to 30 minutes as opposed to the usual hour. However, we still have a long way to go before we start kicking people off so only time will tell.
