"7th Heaven" is a contemporary family drama about a minister and
his wife sharing love, laughter and life with their five children.
The series stars Stephen Collins, Catherine Hicks, Barry Watson, Jessica Biel, Beverley Mitchell, David Gallagher
and Mackenzie Rosman.
The Camdens are a surprisingly functional family, enjoying close relationships despite their occasional differences
and the usual problems that every large family faces. Eric (Collins) is a very progressive father, who is a minister
at the local church. While his five children feel hampered by his profession, Eric really wants to understand each
of them. His wife, Annie (Hicks), is a well-educated woman who has chosen to be at home full-time with their kids.
Repairmen are rarely needed because Annie is very skilled at electrical wiring, plumbing and carpentry. She has
a softer side, allowing her to easily shift gears and become the ultimate earth mother.
Eric and Annie face the challenge of raising five children, ranging in age from toddler to teens. 16-year-old Matt
(Watson) is the typically defiant teenager who rebels. At 14, athletic Mary (Biel) is starting to date and eager
to experience her first real kiss. 12-year-old Lucy is filled with coming-of-age angst. 10-year-old Simon (Gallagher)
is determined to get what he wants from his parents, despite their better judgment. And good-natured, 5-year old
Ruthie (Rosman) is happy to go along with whatever her siblings do or say.
Raising five kids and juggling all of their problems leaves Eric and Annie little time for themselves, but they
manage to keep their romance alive. Together, they're ready to face any challenge that comes their way.
