Episode 100: "Pilot"
In the pilot episode we are introduced to budding film maker Dawson Leery, and his best friend Joey Potter who
struggle with their changing lifelong friendship. Adding to the confusion is vixen Jennifer Lindley who on the
outside appears to be the girl next door but instead is much more. Completing the group is confessed under-achiever
Pacey Witter whose sarcastic wit is only topped by his knack for falling headlong into adult situations. Joey discovers
a horrible secret.
Episode 101: Dance (formerly titled
Dirty Dancing)
Dawson finds himself in jealous mode when Jen accepts a date with super jock Cliff. Meanwhile after Pacey and Miss.
Jacobs' first kiss, she tries to elude the young Romeo but they soon find themselves in a compromising position.
Joey reveals to Dawson's mother that she knows her secret.

Episode 102: Kiss (formerly titled A Prelude to a Kiss)
Dawson dreams of kissing Jen and his wish may come true, but when Jen discovers a secret it may break the spell
on the romantic moment. Dawson joins a film class but may not be able to remain quiet when the film takes a turn
for the worst. Joey is drawn to preppy Anderson Crawford whose rich affluent family docks their sailboat in Capeside.
Pacey and Tamara's secret may no longer be a secret.

Episode 103: Discovery (formerly titled
Carnal Knowledge)
Dawson spots his mother with another man on the day of his parents 20th wedding anniversary and he turns to his
friend Joey instead of his girlfriend Jen to hash out his suspicions. He is taken aback when Joey reveals what
she knows and kept hidden. Jen finally confesses to Dawson about her past in New York and why she came to Capeside.
Based on his unusual reaction, she turns to an unlikely ally for advice. Pacey and Tamara have grown much closer
but struggle to keep their affair a secret. Dawson films an abandoned ruin for a location shoot and afterward finds
a shocking scene when viewing it later on video tape.

Episode 104: Hurricane (formerly
titled Blown Away)
Tension runs high when the Leerys, the Potters, Jen and her grandmother are trapped in the Leery house during a
hurricane. Dawson confronts his mother about her affair and her admission shatters Mitch's world. Jen's grandmother
and Bessie and Bodie exchange verbal battle about the nature of their unborn child. Across town, Pacey and Tamara
try to keep their emotions in check as they weather the storm in her house accompanied by Pacey's older brother
Deputy Doug.

Episode 105: Baby (formerly titled
Look Whose Talking)
While at the Leery household Bessie goes into labor. Joey turns to Dawson for support when her sister's harsh words
and situation reminds her of her mother's death. Jen tries to put aside her religious differences with her grandmother
who also struggles with her own racial biases. Gram and Jen are left to help Bessie deliver the baby. The school
rumor mill goes into overdrive when news of Miss Jacobs and Pacey's affair spreads like wildfire. The school board
calls an emergency meeting to deal with the oversexed teacher.

Episode 106: Detention (formerly
titled The Breakfast Club)
On a Saturday the group finds themselves in the midst of detention. Soon the bored teens take an adventure inside
the halls of the school after slipping by the monitor who is distracted by a soap opera (it was Days of Our Lives
in case you were wondering). A game of truth or dare reveals their true feelings.

Episode 107: Boyfriend (formerly titled
Escape from New York)
When Jen's ex shows up in Capeside to win her back, Dawson believes the ex-boyfriend is gaining ground. Pacey convinces
an overworked Joey to crash a party. Their evening ends with unexpectedly baring results. Dawson's parents sift
through the rubble of their marriage.
Episode 108: Road Trip (formerly titled
In the Company of Men)
Pacey and Jen's ex-boyfriend convince the single again Dawson to take a road trip with them. Pacey and Dawson find
themselves stranded after they're dumped in another town. Joey and Jen find some common ground when confronting
an arrogant Jock.

Episode 109: Double Date (formerly
title Modern Romance)
Still sulking over his breakup with Jen and her newfound interest in Cliff, Dawson masterminds a double date scenario.
Pacey sees Joey in a new light and shares his feelings with his Dawson who then ruminates about his own repressed
feelings for Joey.

Episode 110: The Scare (formerly titled
Friday the 13th)
Scream writer Kevin Williamson brings horror to Capeside.
It's Friday the 13th and Dawson unleashes his famous horrific practical jokes. News hits Capeside that young women
are being brutally murdered. Jen fears she's the attackers next victim but in reality Joey is closer to death than
she realizes. Jen starts receiving frightening phone calls and Pacey introduces a peculiar woman to the gang, a
woman who doesn't know she's being stalked. They all converge at Dawson's house where things quickly go out of
control.

Episode 111: Beauty Contest (formerly
titled Pretty Woman)
Joey finds herself the center of attention when she enters a beauty contest for the prize money. Pacey also gets
pageant fever and enters the contest as well on the grounds that he is as qualified as any female. Jen confesses
to Joey her regrets for breaking up with Dawson and in the process of their bonding helps Joey learn how to shine.

Episode 112: Decisions (formerly titled
Breaking Away)
Season Finale
Joey contemplates taking an educational getaway away from Capeside and Dawson contemplates a life without Joey.
He is forced to confront his feelings for his childhood friend. Jen and her grandmother put aside their religious
differences to morn the passing of a family member.
