With cast members from around the world, MTV's "Ultimate Parkour Challenge" showcases the world's fastest growing extreme sport, parkour. In each episode, the series takes us live every week from locations around southern California including The Queen Mary, Venice Beach, Hollyridge Castle, and many others. Some of the best athletes in the world including Danny Ilabaca, Ryan Doyle, Oleg Vorslav, and Tim Schieff will challenge themselves and each other as they put their parkour skills to the test in different urban environments. Each episode ends in a thrilling live speed round; the winner of that round will then be awarded a prize. The essence of parkour is as simple as a game of chase. Athletes move as efficiently as possible from point A to point B. However, unlike a regular track and field race, parkour is performed in any and every environment. Athletes must jump, roll, climb, leap, sprint, flip and fly, flowing over walls, cars, stairs, railings, and 10-foot rooftop gaps between 5 story buildings.
Viewers can find exclusive cast photos, cast bios, and Parkour 101 video packages which will be an insider's guide into the world of Parkour on parkour.mtv.com. Parkour 101 will introduce the sport, explain the techniques used, and help viewers appreciate the art behind the sport.
