According to Futon Critic, Simon Cowell has officially signed his contract to judge his new show 'X Factor' next year meaning this is his last season on "American Idol."
"We reached an agreement formally about half past 10 this morning. That's the absolute truth," he explained prior to the signing. "And what we have come to, and what we've agreed, is that 'X Factor' will launch in America in 2011 with my judging the show and executive producing the show. Because of that, this will be my last season on 'American Idol' this year."
"X Factor" is set to launch in the fall of 2011 between "So You Think You Can Dance in the summer and "Idol" in the winter/spring. s
