Voting has begun at www.peopleschoice.com to determine the
nominees for PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2010, the only major awards show where fans
choose their favorites in music, movies and television.
Fans can vote on 31 categories, including Favorite Movie, Favorite TV Obsession and Favorite Breakout Artist. The top five nominees in each category will be announced on November 10, 2009, at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills during the annual People's Choice Awards press conference.
For the first time in People's Choice Awards history fans will choose the new design for the official People's Choice Awards trophy, thanks to a partnership with Waterford Crystal. Fans can pick their favorite of three designs posted on www.peopleschoice.com from now until October 26, and the winning trophy will be revealed during the November 10 press conference. Waterford craftsmen will create each trophy in Ireland from hand-cut crystal for the winners of PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2010, to be broadcast from Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on January 6, 2010 on the CBS Television Network.
Nominee voting will also take place on MySpace where fans can share content and converse about the awards on the official People's Choice Awards profile at www.myspace.com/peopleschoiceawards .
The list of potential nominees for PEOPLE'S CHOICE
AWARDS 2010 was determined by national ratings averages, box-office grosses and
music sales, and vetted through Visible Measures, the independent third-party
measurement firm for Internet video.
