NBC Universal has settled its lawsuit against the Weinstein Co.
over "Project Runway's" move to Lifetime and released a statement Wednesday saying that they "have resolved their disputes" with TWC and Lifetime.
As a result, "Project Runway's" delayed sixth season will launch in the summer, Lifetime said.
Meanwhile, "Runway's" original home, NBC Uni's Bravo, announced earlier Wednesday that "The Fashion Show," its successor to "Runway," will debut May 7, ahead of its more established competitor.
Additionally, TWC has agreed "to pay NBC Uni for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime," NBC Uni's statement said.
The settlement puts an end to a year-long court battle between NBC Uni and TWC triggered by the bombshell announcement last April that "Runway" would move to Lifetime.
"As the highest-rated cable network for women, Lifetime is the perfect home for this outstanding program as well as its companion series 'Models of the Runway,' " Lifetime Networks' Andrea Wong said. "All of us at Lifetime are thrilled to move forward with Heidi, Tim, Nina, Michael, the Weinstein Co. and the entire Project Runway team. "
