11:53 - I gotta say, after a few years of disappointment, this was one of the better Academy Award shows I've seen in awhile.  Classy, emotional and really nicely produced.  Bravo.  Keep it up.

11:00 - Quiet because the mood has been rather somber since the Heath Ledger win.  Best original song performance was very well done, nice mix of all the songs at the end.  Too bad Peter Gabriel backed out.  Would have been great to hear him sing "Down to Earth".

9:55 - Musical number with Hugh, Beyonce and friends was definitely fun but I wish I was in the theater to hear it live.  This side of the TV, the mix was a little on the dull side.  Band coulda been a little louder.  I felt very far removed.

9:40 - I am left speechless as Jessica Biel walks out in one of the worst dresses I have ever seen.  TV Guide Tweeted: "Why does Jessica Biel have a GLAD bag hanging off her dress?"  I don't know TV Guide..I just don't know.

9:32 - Ben Stiller is absolutely hilarious pretending to be a crazy, spaced out Jaoquin Phoenix...fake beard and all.

9:24 - My first disappointment of the evening.  IMO, "Hellboy" or "Dark Knight" should have won Best Makeup over "Benjamin Button".

9:15 - Love the faux movie set for for Best Art Direction.  Hate that we're clearly already behind schedule and everyone's talking like an auctioneer.

8:53 - Best presenters ever?  Tina Fey and Steve Martin look fantastic and are hilarious as usual.  Oh, and did they just slam Scientology?  Tina: "Oh Steve, no one wants to hear about our religion...that we made up."

8:45 - Thought I would hate the group presenters but loving this first one with Whoopi, Tilda Swinton, Angelica Houston, Goldie Hawn and Eva Marie Saint for Best Supporting Actress.  It actually feels more personal.

8:41 - As a theater techie, I just had a nice long laugh at the poor technician struggling to open the curtains for a video montage.  I've so been there.

8:38 - Ok, the opening number was pretty hilarious.  Hugh Jackman raising his arms and belting "I'm Wolverine" while flanked by "recession" made Oscar props (cardboard)....very good times.

8:32 - Hugh singing the word "excrement" right into Kate Winslet's face...good times.

8:30 - I still don't know how I feel about Hugh Jackman hosting tonight but I do know he looks AMAZING in a tux.

Oh no, I had no idea you were planning on doing this and missed the process. Great job, though. I wish I had been here to follow along in real time.
