The producer's of "Hell's Kitchen" and ABC are partnering up for a new reality show called "Crash Course." In the new show, contestants will navigate an "outrageous obstacle course" and is said to pair up well with the networks other whacky stunt show "Wipeout."
Does this sound a little familiar? It should. Just a few days ago we found out CBS is working on a similar project called "Thunder Road" which has already been compared to "Wipeout" on wheels. However, the ABC version will have couples compete for a prize and has some comedians attached to host: Orlando Jones ("MadTV") and Dan Cortese ("Veronica's Closet").
"We do things with cars that you would never imagine," exec producer Arthur Smith said. "Yet our show is about the people, not the cars, and nothing brings out the worst in people than putting somebody in a passenger seat."
"It sits at that intersection between fantasy and disaster," ABC co-head of alternative series John Saade said. "Everyone sort of fantasizes about being able to drive like crazy, to do things that you can't do while sitting in traffic. Some of this is a blast, but you're occasionally skidding out of control."
This oughta be interesting and already sounds more fun than the CBS version.
