8:03 - As Kate Winslet is giving her acceptance speech, I wonder if the ceremony is going to be as dull as it started.  JLo as first presenter?  Most exciting moment in the first 5 minutes...her telling everyone to be quiet.  *yawn*

8:09 - So is anyone at all surprised that Springsteen won?  "Only time I'm going to be in competition with Clint Eastwood" says Bruce.  lol!

8:14- YAY! I love you Simon Baker (presenter) can you pleeeease silence the rowdy audience?

8:33 - Caught a quick glimpse of Drew Barrymore's GIGANTIC hair...who ok'd this?  Did I just see it wrong?

8:42 - Seriously, Johnny Depp is the real life "Chuck Bass".  Well, hopefully without all the womanizing...or with.  Hmmm.

8:52 - Yep, Drew Barrymore's hair is gigantic.

8:58:  Standing O for Heath Ledger's win!  So well deserved.  In place of an acceptance speech, the played a scene from "Dark Knight" and Chris Nolan, director of the film, gives a wonderful speech.  Very classy.

9:08 - Colin Ferrel has the sniffles and says he's getting over a cold and it's "not what it used to be" (coke) all as he's opening the envelope to tell us who won best foreign film.  Not classy.

9:23 - Alec Baldwin says "Thank you Tina. Thank you Tina. Thank you Tina."  I couldn't agree more with you Alec. By the way, did anyone see Seth Rogen when he was presenting?  He looks fantastic and very very thin!

9:28 - Renee Zellweger presents one of the Best Movie noms...and seems like she just got in a fight back stage.  Kind of annoyed?

9:36 - "30 Rock" wins and Tracy Jordan accepts saying "Tina Fey and I had an agreement that if Barack Obama won, I would speak for the show from now on."  Hilarious speech!

9:48 - Tina, it's okay to be humble but stop making faces like you don't deserve it already!

9:50 - Tina during her acceptance speech: "If you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the internet."

- Nice to see Steven Speilberg getting emotional as Scorsese presents him with the Cecill B. Demille award.

- Sandra Bullock presented best actor in a comedy or musical and she was actually pretty charming. Maybe even a little funny?

10:28 - Sacha Baron Cohen presents best comedy and hits a nerve when he makes a Madonna/Guy Ritchie joke.  Meanwhile, I died laughing.

10:39 - Kate Winslet is adorably overwhelmed after taking best actress!

10:44 - Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) and Rainn Wilson (The Office) might be the best presenting pair ever randomly thought of.

10:51 - Mickey Rourke gets an awesome standing ovation when he wins best actor.  He also tripped on the steps which was equally awesome.  He's clearly emotional and it's great to see.

11:00 - Finished the show without a second to spare.  I liked it, was nice and fast paced (with the exception of a few speeches and the endless commercials).  Congratulations to all the big winners!

I hope all the speeches don't go on and on like Kate's. When you are thanking your agent and hair people, probably time to cut it off.

seriously...what is with everyone thanking their hair and makeup people? kidding! Just say thanks and leave already!
