Just read an interesting article over on THR this morning. It seems researchers are beginning to document and study what they are calling "Truman Syndrome" (like the movie "The Truman Show"). It's a "delusion afflicting people who are convinced their lives are playing out secretly on a reality TV show."
Like one guy who went looking for release papers from the show he was convinced was being made of his life, or another who basically thought they were living a real life 'Truman Show' where everything they did, everything they bought and everyone they knew was fake and part of this supposed show.

"The question is really: Is this just a new twist on an old paranoid or grandiose delusion ... or is there sort of a perfect storm of the culture we're in, in which fame holds such high value?" said Joel Gold, a psychiatrist affiliated with New York's Bellevue Hospital.So far, in just 2 years, Gold has met 5 patients with delusions related to reality television.
