As mentioned previously, NBC is in the midst of a lawsuit with producers Harvey and Bob Weinstein for taking Project Runway to Lifetime without letting them exercise their right of first refusal.
Well now, if the NY Post is right, they're brewing up a backup plan and it's name is Fashion House. Turns out someone found a Craigslist post (of which I have found no link) looking for contestants for the new series that is strikingly similar to Project Runway.
Apparently it reads: "We're currently accepting applications from talented designers where the winner will win a large cash prize. Let Bravo serve as the launching pad to catapult your fashion career into high gear!"
The Project Runway producers think Bravo is trying to get Fashion House on the airwaves before the lawsuit can follow through in order to keep all the current viewers. On source said, "Basically, Bravo took all the benefits of the 'Project Runway' brand without being a good partner. They even used the same production company - The Magic Elves - for their other shows."
