CW Thinks Robin Can Swing It Without the Batman

With Smallville, possibly coming to a close after this season, The CW is looking for a new series to take over their adolescent superhero slot and for some reason, they think Robin just might fit the bill.

The network ordered a pilot of The Graysons, a series set to follow Dick "DJ" Grayson (that's Robin's real name for you non-geeks) before he becomes the infamous sidekick.  If you don't remember his backstory, DJ was an acrobat for the circus and his parents were murdered when their flying trapeze act was sabatoged.

Smallville producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson are slated to work on the new project.

So, do you think Robin can hold his own for an entire series or will he continue to be the joke of the superhero world?
