What's Brewin' in TV: Wednesday 9/24

Scandlous!
  • Hey, incase you haven't heard, Clay Aiken is gay.  That's not all that scandalous or TV related but the fan response is just so crazy I had to share.  Check out an article on it here
  • David Blaine is totally busted.  Eye witnesses say the 'Dive of Death' is a total sham and he took 10 minute breaks even though Blaine claimed he would be drinking water upside down and urinating through a catheter during his most recent stunt where he hangs from his feet for 60 hours.  Reps say he never claimed he wouldn't take breaks.  Oh gimme a break.  source
  • Get this, Joan Rivers is too rude for AOL.  They were going to use her Emmy red carpet video for a new site they're launching called MyHollywood.com but they decided her comments were just a little too harsh for them.  Offensive even!  And this from a company who's in bed with TMZ.  source

News Worthy...ous!

  • A previously unreleased recording of a Johnny Cash piece called "I Am the Nation" will be part of a new documentary called "Johnny Cash's America".  Apparently the recording was discoverd in Cash's belongings after he died.  The film will touch on social and political issues and features Bob Dylan, Al Gore, Snoop Dogg and more. source
  • Oops!  23 year old Luke Russert, son of the late Tim Russert, made his first TV boo-boo today when he accidentally implied that you'd have to be dumb not to support Obama.  Luke said on the Today show "The smartest kids in the state go there so it is leaning a little bit toward Obama." referring to the University of Virginia.   He later rescinded the comment saying "Today was one of my first lessons in teh perils of television."  source
