Looks like word of mouth travels a long way, so long as that mouth has fangs. Although the ratings were less than satisfactory for HBO's latest drama, True Blood, the second episode received a 24% gain in viewership. Apparently that's enough of a boost HBO's confidence and offer them up a second season after only 2 episodes.
The creator of the show, Alan Ball, says he is "thrilled to be able to continue to work with such a talented group of writers, cast and crew to explore the characters world created by Charlaine Harris in her novels."
I guess it's time I start second guessing my HBO cancellation?
Nah, not until they have a Showtime like lineup again.
