Benlysta Works! 52-Week Trial "...Success"

Human Genome Science, Inc. announced yesterday that their 52-week trial of their lupus-specific drug Benlysta "met the criteria ... for success". This is the first theraphy ever developed specifically to treat lupus so, my goodness, this is great news!

Human Genome Science fooled the medical industry business experts as, last week, the analysts all predicted failure for the test.  Human Genome's stock price has jumped up on the news, as has the hope of lupus patients everywhere.

The results of the placebo-controlled test say that nearly 58% of the patients receiving a higher dose of Benlysta showed positive results versus 43% who were given the placebo. The results are posted in a press release at the HGSI website along with other information about the drug and how it is intended to work.
