1 box German chocolate cake mix
2/3 Cup Evaporated Milk (I use the fat free kind)
1 6oz pkg of semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 Cup walnuts
1 bag of caramels
1/4 cup melted butter or margerine
Combine cake mix with 1/3 cup of evaporated milk and melted butter. Press half of the mixture into a greased baking
pan (one size smaller than the 13"x9" seems to work better)
Bake at 350 for 5 minutes.
Unwrap the caramels (duh) and melt with the remaining 1/3 cup of evaporated milk. Sprinkle
chocolate chips over partially baked cake, then the walnuts. Pour the caramel mixture over the top. Pat the rest
of the cake mix into flat pieces and lay randomly over the caramel.
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
