Who's That Girl Tour ~ 1987
Two years and three albums after the success of "The Virgin Tour" Madonna made her second tour. She included more cities in the schedule and more technology. Now her vocals/dancers are three beautiful girls ~ Debra Parson, Niki Harris and Donna DeLory. Harris and DeLory would be part of the next tours as well.    The tour was named "Who's that girl", the same title of her lastest film. Madonna sold out all the cities on the tour, including 2 shows at Wembley Stadium in London.  But Madonna had some problems with this tour.  Her husband, Sean Penn, wasn't with her on the tour because he was in the jail for assaulting the paparazzi. The first concert was canceled due to bad weather in Japan. The fans refused to leave, staying in the rain and screaming her name. They were dissapointed because Madonna never showed that night, even though many people had to pay more than $700 for one ticket. First Minister Jacques Chirac in France had to intervene to let Madonna perform in that country. The police wanted to stop the show because they couldn't control the crowd. Madonna gave the money of her concert in July 13, 1987 in Madison Square Garden to the American Foundation for Aids Research (AMFAR). Around of three million of fans saw this tour in 18 countries on three continents.    Madonna got 500,000 dollars for every show in this tour. After her shows in Asia, Madonna went to the U.S.A. She traveled first to Miami. Hher crew needed a 747 and a DC-7 to carry the equipment to the Florida, and 23 trucks carried to get everything to the arena. Around 50 people were in the crew for "Who´s That Girl". Madonna changed costumes over 10 times . The video was recorded in Italy, the homeland of Madonna's family.
