In 1985, Madonna sold 75,000 copies of her records everyday,
a T-shirt, a cup or a keyring every second. After two albums, she was ready for her first tour.
The tour was called "The Virgin Tour" went to 27 cities in the United States. Radio City Music Hall sold
out 17,672 tickets in just 30 MINUTES, setting a record for fastest sell-out. The show was simple, compared to
her later tours. She made only two costume changes and the set was just a radio, a few flowers, and hundreds of
pink and white ballons with the legend: "Dreams Come True". |
