    BE: Why would a public/private system be any different than what we have now?
    We have public schools that coexist with private schools too.

    Those who can't afford it can take the public free option, while those that can afford it, want better care, more customized insurance, or have employer provided insurance can take the private option which would be unchanged from what we have now.
