Oprah...ho hum...boring dress...shameless self-promotion about the book thing...who was that chick on the red carpet in the white dress that looked like an inside-out corset? Julia Louis-Drefuss's dress is hideola.

I totally love Jean Smart...so glad she won. And loved her slam at Heidi Klum.

Gads, that had to be the most tedious Emmy show in Emmy broadcast history. The tribute to "Laugh-In" was nice though. And didn't the cast members all look fabulous? That show was truly a pioneer for television comedy.
It was a HUGE mistake to involve Heidi Klum in this broadcast. The word "bimbo" doesn't even do that woman justice.
Hip-hip-hooray for my "John Adams" folks.
    I'm so glad they won.
Well deserved on all their parts.
Nice chatting with you during the show Ry and Annie.
Best dressed? Brooke Shields, hands down.
Damn that woman is stunning and her dress was lovely.
    Worst dressed?
Oh, it's such a toss up.
But I'll give it to Eva Langoria for the bad hair and scary dress.

I realized after we were done that I barely saw any of the show. I must learn to touch type a little more reliably.

I agree about Heidi. She's fine with a prompter, but if anyone else goes off script, all she can do is stand there and sort of pose.

Bravo to John Adams and Mad Men. Both favorites of mine. The biggest surprise, for me, was Brian Cranston winning Best Actor for Breaking Bad. Not because he doesn't deserve it, he does an amazing job with a very bizarre role. But I was so certain that Don Draper... I mean Jon Hamm would win that it never occurred to me that it might not happen.

I'm so glad you came by and threw in your comments, mtj. It was fun to have you there!

My money for Best Actor In A Drama Series was on Hugh Laurie for "House". And I was so looking forward to his acceptance speech, since I have never heard his British accent. Oh well, maybe next year.

Never? mtj you MUST watch Hugh on Saturday Night Live. Not only did he flaunt his accent but it was probably one of the funniest SNLs last year! If I can find a video of it, I'll send it your way.

Ry just sent me this, one of the worst dressed from last night:

A fan?! She looks about 10 years older than she must be.

Oh God, that is especially ghastly.
Kevin Bacon definitely gets worst hair.
