We just finished bingeing -- in two nights -- a new 8 episode half-hour comedy called "Atypical" and were absolutely delighted.

It's a family-based situation comedy (No Laugh Track! thank goodness) about a suburban family with two kids. The son is high-functioning autistic, and main-streamed for his senior year in public high school. Sympathetic situations and much good humor ensue, though there's plenty of tension to keep the stories moving. Younger sister is a sophomore, a nice person, but has the stuff that comes with being that age, and a protector of her older brother. Parents have personal issues that come from the situation, but have some history too.

Amazing that they get as much as they do into just 8 episodes. Loved it!

Clearly set up for a season two, but no word so far if there will be one.
