Probably not the best voice of this movement to quote Alex.
I guess Fox News aren't the only ones who pick and choose their quotes to try and skew an issue.
It's no surprise to me that the elite would be against this kind of protest.
The voice of the working people often offends the upper crust.
God forbid people should actually take a stand against social and economic inequality, corporate greed and the influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government.

what does this have to do with fox news? look at the source...go to their website...

the speeches going on there are crazy...these nuts are demonstrating tomorrow at the futures and options show in chicago too...

greed? how about complacency and laziness? how about gov't graft and waste?

funny tho...those that always complain about fox news probably never watch it as at least they portray both sides of an issue...can't say that of the other media outlets...journalism is dead anyway...

based on this demonstration, so is intellect...unions, students and the granola crowd...

"Portray" or put one side in a bad light, while the other in good?

There are lots of greed complacency and laziness among the corporate sector.
They have more than enough resources to solve our country's problems but do nothing.
They send jobs overseas to save a few dollars while their own countrymen go without.
They support Communism in China while heaven forbid we ever have anything that resembles "socialism" in this country.
You say people should get off their lazy behinds and tell them there is no excuse for them to be on welfare or what have you, but when corporate america sits and does nothing, you and bigeasy give the same tired excuses, and say they don't have to contribute to any sort of common good. But if they aren't contributing to the common good, then they are contributing to the common evil.

Also, who are you calling the "smart" ones? A bunch of minimally educated redneck hillbillies (I wonder how many of THEM are on welfare?) that go to Tea Party rallies with guns promoting the assassination of the President and other liberal lawmakers?

By the way, I wouldn't call it "crazy" more like ANGER!
Of course the unions are angry, they see the work they have done for the last century to improve working conditions gradually being eroded away. At the same time, they have to negotiate with the greedy corporate types that would sell these jobs to the lowest bidder if nothing is done to stop them.
Of course students are angry, they were fed a "stay in school" mantra all thier lives only to see the cost of school continuously rising and the prospects of getting a job after they are done continuously declining only for some right winger to tell them they should work in a fast food joint or a coal mine instead of the job they went to school for.
That is most angering, and definitely a reason to protest almost continuously for days, maybe weeks. (Months if you include Wisconsin)

How long have Tea Party rallies lasted?
A couple hours to hear Sarah Palin spew her drivel?
What do the Rednecks have to be angry about? The taxes they are most likely not paying to begin with?

Approving high risk mortgages and qualifying borrowers
for mortgages with little or no documentation and bad credit constitutes
    greed, and fraud.
Have these mortgage lenders been held accountable for their devious
    practices?
    No.
The middle class have been crushed because of such deceit by the big
    money wheelers and dealers.
And people find it “crazy” that there is now an organized movement
    to protest such things?
I guess when you live in the upper crust,
that went untouched by all this,
you find it all “crazy” and wish that these people would shut up and
go back to cutting your grass, cleaning your house and nannying
    your children.

    Re: wanna read crazy??

those mortgages neveer should have been approved or offered, however, they were largely because the house banking committee, led by barney frank demanded that the banks do so. They also threatened banks who would not offer them as discriminatory as the goal was to get low income individuals into home ownership. One HAD a choice as to whether they took the mortgage as well. its called personal responsibility. The middle class overspent...LIKE our gov't and now they just want to pass blame and tax people to make up for their mistakes. Banks and corporations will spend when there is an incentive to do so...like a sound fiscal and energy policy that will permit economic growth. its not a tough premise to understand...
