I actually saw this movie a while ago, but when I saw it on both Entertainment Weekly writers' top 10 list for 2010, I felt I should comment on it.

Say what you will about Roman Polanski, but he has it in him to make some incredible movies. The Ghost Writer stars Ewan McGregor as a "ghost writer" who is tasked to complete the memoirs of a former British Prime Minister (played by Pierce Brosnan). Polanski does an excellent job of building a sense of paranoia and creating an "atmosphere" that is a much a part of the film as any performance or any line of of the script. I am not sure yet if it will make it into my top 10 films of the year as I have a bunch of viewings to cram in yet in the next week or so, but it was a good film with good performances. I'd give it a very solid B+ and a recommendation to watch!
