This weeks challenge is to make a companion piece to one of the designers own winning garments. A piece that should compliment and enhance your previous design. Logan however is the only one who hasn’t won a challenge among the rest of the competitors. So the judges picked one of his past designs for him to work with.
Guest judge this week is actress Keri Washington.
Carol Hannah: Judges loved the airy lightness of her design. One judge said it reminded them of Ava Gardner. They also loved the color. She had a quiet elegance to her design. She is safe tonight.
Irina: Even though I can’t stand her attitude personally, her design tonight was very good. Judges said it was uptown chic, made the model look like she had married a millionaire. Judges loved her design and I really thought she would win. She was safe.
Christopher: Personally, I liked this look too!! I have no fashion taste as you can tell!! :) The judges said this look was too bottom heavy. It looked like two different dresses in one and it did not work together. He is safe tonight.
Althea: I felt she did an ok job but the judges loved her design. They loved the oversized top and the pants. I didn’t get the pants at all. Apparently the judges did and she won tonight’s challenge.
Bottom two is Logan and Gordana.
Gordana: I again, didn’t think she did so bad. Judges felt her look wasn’t fashionable, looked dated, drab and the model looked old in the design. She is safe.
Logan: I’m not sure if the past design they picked for Logan was one of his best. I felt Logan did better than the judges gave him credit for. The judges however felt it looked like a project from a student, another likened it to Judy Jetson. They though his look had a bad 80’s feel to it. Logan lost the challenge tonight and was sent packing.
Althea felt Logan stole/copied the collar look of one of her designs and Irina felt that Althea stole/copied the top/jacket look of one of her designs. On the runway, Irina called out Althea who later said she didn’t think she copied anything. She was just happy to have the win.
