Have you had a long weekend that was the best and the worst?

This long weekend was great in a way. But also one of the very worst in my life too.
I don't know how to feel, guilty if I'm not celebrating and guilty if I'm happy.
I'm so confused. :sigh:

Well, this weekend was our state tournament of foosball. My older son (Wiggedout) did very well. He placed in open doubles, pro doubles and won the championship of pro singles. A decent chunk of change and other perks. It was great.

On the other end in a very special place in he11 was my brother with Alzheimer's. He took a very dire turn. My sister-in-law had to call 911 and it took two officers and two large e.m.t.'s to cuff him and get him strapped in the gurney. He has not been violent before. He has been agitated and a little combative but he is just uncontrollable. And now he is in the hospital with absolutely zero dignity and full 5 point restraints in a frigging diaper. It's worse than a horror movie.

So I've been all over the map this weekend. I've been trying to just be there for my sister-in-law and focusing a bit on Wigg and his fiance and their baby to keep the happy things very near the forefront.

I'm so sorry for you! How awful about your brother. I will keep him in my prayers. Let's pray that the month improves. Focus on that adorable little baby when you can.

Big League, I am very sorry to hear about your brother. My Dad suffered with Alzheimer's and I know how heartbreaking it can be. Prayers out for your brother and your family.
