The designers challenge this week was to convert an old wedding dress into a fashionable new look.
The models this week were the women these wedding dresses belonged to. All were divorced or in the process of a divorce.
Tim announced that tonight would be the last immunity given. So whoever gets it tonight, will be the last person to get it throughout the duration of the competition.
Shirin, I thought, really had the hardest person to work with. This woman had so many demands, crazy ideas and was annoying. I think it’s really hard to design anything for someone while you are in the middle of a competition.
Having to keep the vision of the person you are designing for as well as your own artistic integrity. At least Shirin didn’t cave and took control. She did just enough to stay in the competition this week.
Gordana and Irina were in the top two tonight. Although the judges really liked both designs, Irina’s was age appropriate, beautiful in color and design. Gordana’s was edgy, versatile and she won the challenge tonight. In my opinion, I thought Irina would win again this week. I liked her design better than Gordana.
Congrats to Gordana.
Logan converted his wedding dress into a really messy bulky pant outfit. The judges hated it. Saying it reminded them of Oktoberfest.
Nicolas designed a pant outfit as well. His at least fitted his model better than Logan’s outfit fit his model. I didn’t like it but it was better than Logans.
Althea, Nicolas and Carol Hannah were safe.
This leaves Epperson, Christopher and Logan in the bottom 3.
Christopher’s design was just bad. Comments from judges were too shiny, too much, too crunchy, metallic garbage bag and would be on worst dressed list. I am so surprised that Christopher has ended up in the bottom again. I don’t know if it’s the pressure getting to these guys, but wow. Christopher barely squeaked by to safety.
Epperson totally missed the mark this week. He somehow didn’t understand he had to use the wedding dress for this challenge. How he managed to not pay attention to this very important detail and then change his design from what I thought was something very nice to what he ended up with on the runway is beyond me.
His design was likened to Oktoberfest as well. This left Epperson standing alone against Logan with Epperson losing.
