I'm very conflicted about the direction this show is taking.
While it seems to be somewhat back on track, the "camp" element still exists.
I'm wondering if we are in store for an episode where the entire cast breaks out in a chorus of "Let's Do The Time Warp Again".
This is not the show I fell for.
They could have pulled off this entire episode without the James Bond references.
And can I send out a great big EFF YOU HANSON, for making this episode all about how much they all love Wendall?
Because that was a great big EFF YOU to the viewers who are tired beyond belief of the rotating intern schedule and just WANT OUR ZACK BACK.
Hanson, you delusional freak.
It was not a stroke of genius to write Zack as a murder's accomplice.
It was not a stroke of genius to write Eric Millegan off the show.
It was not a stroke of genius to replace Gordon Gordon with lame-o Sweets.
The stroke of genius, which you now can no longer see, was to pair Zack and Bones up in the first place.
Your lame "rotating interns to replace Zack" isn't working.
Have a moment of clarity, and BRING ZACK BACK.
While you're at it, could you stoke the fire between Angela and Hodgens again?
And can Sweets and give us our very much loved, Gordon Gordon.
Thanks Hanson.
Hope you had a successful trip through your latest rehab stint.

I don't think the rehab stint went very well. He's better off than before but I'm not feeling the Bones vibe I loved just yet.

I agree that we're missing people. I stumbled across a documentary type show hosted by Stephen Fry the other night where he goes around America and I couldn't help but wonder when his stop in LA to film more Bones episodes would be. Wishful thinking.

As for the interns, Zack was the one that made the show great. It was his interactions with the other characters that made for some of the most memorable moments. Wendall is probably my favorite out of the rotating interns but he is no replacement for Zack.

I was kind of surprised that "I love Wendall" was the center of the episode. It makes me wonder if he's going to be the final choice for a new intern. Which I suppose would be fine. They can keep him as an intern, get Zack out of jail, and hire Zack back as a full time employee. Even better, Zack gets out of jail because Sweets tells everyone he didn't kill anybody, breaking some sort of confedenciality and he gets fired and they beg Gordon Gordon to come back to be the psychiatrist for the FBI. There's my season five suggestion.

Oh yes!!!
Can all of that happen exactly as you wrote it?
I will be standing and cheering if it does.
I have a big problem with people who "don't get it".
And Hanson is at the top of that list.
I was especially PO'd that "King Of The Lab" came back up in conversation.
That was a Hodgens/Zack dynamic.
It doesn't work without Zack.
If Hanson finally swallows his ego, and brings Zack and Gordon Gordon back,
I will become a charter member of the Hart Hanson fan club. :)

I'll be right behind you signing up for the fan club if he goes with that. Anyway to push them to write that storyline?

I agree about the "king of the lab". It isn't the same without Zack and Hodgens fighting for the title. With Zack gone, isn't Hodgens by default "king of the lab" anyway? He doesn't have anybody to compete with until Zack comes back.
