Ellen DeGeneres. Hmmm ...not sure how I feel about this, but I'll give her a chance. I'm just glad it's not Posh Beckham which was previously rumored. At least Ellen will bring some humor to the show, I just hope it's not overboard and that there will be some seriousness in her judging.

I read a blip but figured that meant she was gonna be a guest judge, this doesn't even make sense. I won't be watching so maybe I'll check in here to see what you all have to say. I don't get why she is a judge, what on earth kind of credibility does she bring?? I thought this was a "singing competition"!

I like her...she'll bring a little humor to it. And she's a big American Idol fan. I think she'll be fine. She'll have some zingers for Simon I'm sure..will love that!
