This week the designers had to pair up. Some did really well and some others did really bad. Here's my take on tonights episode.
MITCHELL/RA'MON
Mitchell was chosen as team leader and he choose to pair up with Ra'mon. Ra'mon seemed disappointed since Mitchell has already been up for elimination twice. Ra'mon's apprehension concerning the pairing proved him right. Mitchell did little work, seemed to be scattered with his design ideas and left Ra'mon pretty much holding the bag and doing 99% of the work.
In the end, surprisingly, Ra'mon won this weeks challenge. I thought the surf look they had was ok but I really didn't like the Avant Garde look. Apparently the real fashionistas (Judges) liked it and awarded Ra'mon with a win as well as next week's immunity. Congrats to Ra'mon.
Qristal/Epperson
This was so bad. These two did not mesh well at all and it's one of those situations where there were too many chefs in the kitchen. I don't know if it was Epperson being too bossy and unwilling to really let Qristal take control as team leader or he was truly uninspired by her design ideas or Qristal being too close minded to listen and accept Eppersons ideas without feeling like he undermined her.. They did not work well at all and ended up in the bottom as well.
I personally thought Carol Hannah/Shirin look were the best tonight.
Ultimately Mitchell's lackadaisical effort got him booted. You would think since he had been on the edge of elimination twice in the last 2 weeks, he would really try to prove himself this week and with the added help on top of it, he should have breezed through. Oh well, like Heidi said, 3 strikes and you're out!
