One is that I will watch these two season finale episodes a few more times, before I bid LOST farewell until next season.
Two is that every time I do, I will cry when I watch that Sawyer/Juliet goodbye scene.
I'm wondering if part of the morale to this story is going to be that it's not about what you've LOST, but what you've gained.
And anyone can feel free to say what they will about the Sawyer/Juliet relationship.
I found it to be real and true and endearing.
And I love how after Juliet said to Sawyer, "I saw how you looked at her" (referring to Kate), Sawyer started calling Juliet "Blondie".
It was like an unsaid bond between them, that "Freckles" was no longer in his heart, and Juliet was.
I would love to think that somehow, Juliet survives all this.
I really would.
Best lines of the finale...
Rose (upon seeing Sawyer, Juliet and Kate): Oh HELL NO!
Sun to Richard: Do you have any alcohol? (I was waiting for Richard to pull a bottle of McCutcheon's out of the sand).
When it's all said and done next year, and the final curtain falls on LOST, I will miss these fictional characters more than I have ever missed any others.
I'm sorry that it took so long to finally meet Jacob, because after one episode, he has become a favorite character of mine.
I am amazed at the character development the writers have achieved.
Miles, who we first met as a cold, unfeeling, opportunist...turned out to have a heart after all.
Ben, who we've all had a love/hate relationship with throughout the years, turns out to be the boy with the broken childhood...who still hasn't got it right, 35 years later.
Sawyer, who I have always thought of as a shallow cad, turns out to be a man who can actually share his heart with one special woman.
I think the reason we saw young Katie, was to show how far she's come, with all that she's had to struggle with.
I have a new appreciation for Kate after these episodes.
I have lots of other things to comment on, when I get more time.
But I will mention this one.
It seems obvious that Hurley is our shining star, our golden child, the one thread in the tapestry Jacob is weaving that is "without sin".
I loved the comment that Jacob made to Hurley about how Hurley wasn't cursed, rather, he was blessed.
It was perfect that Locke/Bad Guy kicked Jacob's dying body into the fire.
Because I am so seeing Jacob rising from the ashes, like a Phoenix... in our final season.
